Ok this will probably sound weird to most of you, but I have discovered something about myself that I never knew before.
When one of my favorite artists does really well, I find myself taking pride in their success. Just yesterday I was telling one of my co-workers about
's success in her tarot deck and how I was going to buy a deck so I could show everyone her beautiful work. And while I was telling her about the cards and Heidi's work, I realized I was as proud of her as if she were one of my kids.
From reading Heidi's journal entries for the last year and a half and from the notes back and forth I have come to think of Heidi as a friend. And I am extremely proud of her success.
Then another person I have interacted with,
, has gone on to have a gallery showcase his work - single artist showing - and I realize yet again I am proud to have known (a little bit) this artist in his *pre-glory* days.
Is that just too weird or what? DO you think I am trying to ride their shirttails to success? I don't think it's true! I am not out for success. I am just here to have a little fun and to learn more about, both, art and myself. So, I guess in a way, I am here for success and I am already there because I am having fun, and I have come a long way in the year and half I have been a member of this community. Both, in terms of becoming a better artist, and a better person, too.
dA, I thank you for all you have given to me.

I haven't lived your life nor walked in your skin, so I cannot know the journey that has brought you to this day, therefore I will pass no judgment on you for other than what you show me.

It is better to forget to forgive and forget, than to forgive and always remember.
